jack daniels single barrel rye
Jack daniels single barrel rye Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and his team of whiskey makers created this special release 2020 to honor the history of American whiskey when it was often high in rye content and offered at barrel strength. I don’t like Jack Daniels but thought I’d try this after hearing good things. It’s like drinking sweet banana bread! On the nose you get oak, raisin, honey. I let it sit for 15 mins and it got better, even more complex. On the palate it’s thick and oily, you get some baking spice, banana, treacle with a hot oaky finish, but to be expected at this strength. This is nothing like the cheap JD no. 7, it’s incredible. My favourite whiskey ever.

Wow! Hints of caramel and spice. 10 times what old number 7 is and incredibly smooth. A real treat. One of the greats
