Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare is a rich, velvety smooth blend of eight treasured Scotch Whiskies including three “ghost” whiskies from the silent distilleries of Cambus, Pittyvaich and the Highland Single Malt, Brora, which lies at the heart of this special release bringing a deliciously light peatiness and sophisticated subtle sweetness.
This whisky is a blend of closed ‘ghost’ distillery and rare reserve release whiskies. Various releases are available, please ensure your merchant has the whisky you are looking for.
Johnnie Walker Master Blender, Dr. Jim Beveridge, has long been fascinated by how whiskies from a small number of iconic distilleries that closed many years ago can bring the extraordinary richness for which Johnnie Walker Blue Label is known.
In crafting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare, Jim blended the three ghost whiskies with five rare expressions of malt and grains from the existing distilleries of Royal Lochnagar, Clynelish, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie and Cameron bridge.

Appearance: Clear, with a bright gold translucent hue. Viscous on the sides of the tasting glass with clearly defined rivulets forming.
Nose: Honeycomb and propolis at a medium approach. Green apple is very apparent with a closer inhale. Some peach and pear notes make a presence at a second inspection. Similar to standing in an orchard in early fall.
Palate: Balanced sweetness with a touch spice. All of the hints that the aroma started with are fully realized when tasted. Honeycomb, green apple, with
just a little touch of some floral notes. Cinnamon rounds it off with a little zip of spice on a medium finish.
